金沢の茶屋街

 

江戸時代、茶屋街は武士の出入りは禁止されていた。

裕福な商人や聴衆のいが夜な夜な集って、遊宴を楽しんでいた。

清算は、全て「後日払い」。

お茶屋と限られた旦那衆とに間の信頼関係で成り立っていた。

During the Edo period, samurai were forbidden to enter the teahouse district.

Wealthy merchants and audience members would gather there night after night to enjoy the festivities.

All settlements were paid "at a later date".

It was a relationship of trust between the teahouse and a limited number of masters.
